Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), serving Somerset and Hunterdon County residents for over forty years, offers over 90 associate degrees and certificates, customized training and continuing education. The College's 240-acre campus lies at the crossroads of central New Jersey in North Branch. RVCC is committed to being a learning-centered college that works closely with the community to develop and offer new and innovative programs to meet the needs of a growing diverse community and student population.

Raritan Valley Community College is currently accepting applications for an instructor, Occupational Therapy Assistant/Coordinator (OTA). RVCC offers an attractive employee benefits package, that includes tuition reimbursement for advanced higher education. This a tenure track line currently funded by a large federally funded grant. RVCC is committed to developing a high quality OTA program which will meet the ACOTE standards of practice. ACOTE (Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education) is part of AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association).

Additionally, funding from this grant will enable us to develop the curriculum with the help of additional professional consultants and allow us to hire assistance for clinical placements. Participation in this grant will allow us to develop and implement the educational program using state-of-the-art laboratory equipment. The new OTA program is being developed in response to regional employment demand confirmed by the enthusiastic participation of local employers and OT professionals in the planning process.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
* Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy is required. Certified Occupational Therapist licensed in New Jersey is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy, including practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant, administrative or supervisory experience.
* At least 1 year of teaching experience is required.
* An understanding of and experience with occupational therapy assistants is needed.
