RVCC is currently accepting applications for an Instructor Occupational Therapy Assistant/Coordinator (OTA). Initial salary will be based on the successful candidate's educational qualifications and professional experience. The College also offers an attractive employee benefits package.

Our Occupational Therapy Assistant Program with a projected program start of Spring 2016. Position will begin in the Spring 2015 semester to develop curriculum and program in preparation for accreditation.

The primary purpose of this position is to teach lecture and clinical courses in the Occupational Therapy Assistant Program offered by the Health Science Education Department. During the first year, the main function is to assist in the development of the program based on the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) standards and licensing requirements. Additionally, this instructor will assist in the assessment and development of the program. For the full description please visit our employment page.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Occupational Therapy is required. Certified Occupational Therapist licensed in New Jersey is required.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of occupational therapy, including practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant, administrative or supervisory experience.

At least 1 year of teaching experience is required

An understanding of and experience with occupational therapy assistants is needed.

This is a grant funded position. Continued employment will depend upon funding and could expire on or before the expiration date of the grant.
