Part-Time Experienced
Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Kids in Motion, Inc. is a well-respected pediatric outpatient therapy center located in the Chicago southwest suburb of Crestwood. We are in immediate need of an experienced part-time Occupational Therapist to join us in treating children with sensory processing disorders, autism and neuro-motor impairments. Solid experience in the treatment of children, ages 0-18, along with advanced training in sensory integration treatment techniques, are a must. Specialized knowledge and experience in therapeutic listening, myofascial release, and NDT are also highly desirable.

Most of the children we treat are between the ages of 2 and 12 who are either in school full-time or whose parents both work full-time jobs and need later therapy times. Our parents attend each session with their children in its entirety, and our center is therefore full of families who are very involved and invested in their child's care and progress. Our treatment sessions are each one-hour in length, leaving enough time for the therapist to prepare the child for new sensorimotor experiences as well as time to learn and integrate new patterns of movement and responses to their environment.

Each therapist is highly respected at Kids in Motion, both for their treatment expertise and for their own unique perspective on how to truly connect with each child. Together, we all value and honor every family member who comes through our doors.

Please consider joining our practice. You will grow professionally and will find like-minded therapists who practice with the highest ethics at all times. Your own perspective on the growing child will become enriched, and the experience will be nothing but positive.

We are looking for someone who can contribute hours to our center either Monday and/or Wednesday, from 4 PM onward during the school year. During the summer, we will expand your hours enough to give you 6-7 children over two half-days (perhaps more if you wish) so that you can attend our weekly staff inservice meeting, interface further with other therapists and strengthen your foundation at Kids in Motion.

We look forward to hearing from you! Please send your resume and listing of your continuing education courses you have taken over the past 5 years to Kids in Motion at [email protected], or FAX to 708-371-7748. Our website is under construction, but do feel free to call and speak with either Margie Mizera, PT, PCS, C/NDT, or Renee Rowley PT, PCS, C/NDT, at 708-371-7007.
