The Morosky College of Health Professions and Scienceinvites applications for two nine-month, full-time tenure trackfaculty positions in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program: Program Chair and Assistant Professor. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.

Program Chair: The successful candidate will have a post-professional clinical or research doctoral degree; be eligible for Pennsylvania OT licensure; provide evidence of effective teaching, and productive scholarship in Occupational Therapy; and have five years of experience as an academic leader with supervision and management of university faculty. Responsibilities include mentoring scholarship and service among students and faculty; teaching courses in areas of expertise and in general OT topics; advising students; directing graduate research projects; and ensuring quality education and practicum experiences that comply with the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE).

Assistant Professor: The successful candidate will have a post-professional clinical or research doctoral degree; be a registered occupational therapist with a minimum of five years of full-time clinical experience in rehabilitation, which includes expertise in general physical or neurological interventions; and be student-centered as well as committed to excellence in teaching, learning, scholarship, and service. Responsibilities include teaching courses in areas of expertise and in general OT topics, managing Level II fieldwork selection and placement, advising students, and directing graduate research projects.
