Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Easter Seals currently has an opening for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in our Diagnostic Treatment Center. In this position you will provide psychiatric evaluation, treatment and medical oversight to program clients consistent with applicable practice standards, federal and state regulations, and agency policies. You will also be asked to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plan for referred clients using a person-centered, interdisciplinary approach.

Provide discipline specific services to individual clients, including prescription, treatment monitoring, and referral to other necessary services. Provide consultation to staff for client medical care. Complete all documentation consistent with discipline standards and as required by the program and federal and state guidelines and regulations. Act as medical liaison between community providers and program staff. Assist in providing medication administration training/supervision to program staff. Oversee ordering of prescriptions and medical supplies. Participate in quality assurance activities according to Easter Seals Policies and Procedures. Consult with the intake team as needed and meet with the treatment team to review plans.

The qualified candidate will have a Master’s of Science in Nursing, 2 years’ experience with target population, acceptable A.P.R.N License from the Board of Nursing and a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
