Sibley Memorial Hospital, located in the District of Columbia and a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, seeks a dynamic manager for the Coding Department. This person will manage coding data compliance, coordinate and supervise the collection of data, serve as the expert for regulatory coding requirements related to both Inpatient coding and outpatient coding and charging, and will provide supervision to all coding personnel in the Health Information Management Department. This position will be an integral participant in the Johns Hopkins Medicine enterprise-wide implementation of the EPIC system, as well as the principal for ICD-10 implementation at Sibley. We are looking for a true administrative Coding professional who understands the science of coding and will direct Sibley through the upcoming major projects. The Coding Data Quality Manager, will also provide critical support to the HIM Director for projects related to remote coding, clinical documentation im provement initiatives, and will assist in the development of edits, tools and monitoring reports to enhance coding quality and compliance, as well as serve on hospital and enterprise-wide committees related to the position's responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of related work experience, to include supervision of staff, experience with ICD-9 and CPT coding, MSDRG and APC reimbursement methodologies and excellent communication skills. Certification as a RHIA, RHIT, or CCS by AHIMA required. To learn more and apply, please visit:
