Now, more than ever before, it’s important to encourage patients to engage in early screening for colorectal cancer, even in the midst of a pandemic. Routine screening is safe and should not be delayed; colorectal cancer can be prevented and lives saved.
ASGE is proud to launch its Value of Colonoscopy campaign to help drive home the importance of early and effective screening and detection to prevent colorectal cancer.
With the tagline, Colonoscopy: THE Cancer Prevention Test, the campaign aims to break through the clutter of information on the importance of early screening, and the effectiveness of colonoscopy as the foremost screening tool. GI units and practices are open and focused on safe practices during this pandemic.
Primary care physicians and the public are invited to visit the one-stop destination at ValueOfColonoscopy.org, where practical and easy-to-use resources are available. The site provides clinical information to stay abreast of screening options and recommendations, while also offering patient resources such as videos, posters and fact sheets, to learn more about a preventable cancer.
Join us in this important mission to raise awareness and overcome patient barriers to reduce the rate of colorectal cancer.
