Description


 


The Department of Pediatrics at Stony Brook Children's Hospital seeks faculty for the Division of Genetics at either the Assistant or Associate Professor Level.


 


The only dedicated, tertiary-care Children's Hospital on Long Island, Stony Brook Children's serves the nearly 500,000 children of Suffolk County, New York.


 


Requirements include: MD/DO degree, Board Eligible/Board Certified in Genetics, eligible for medical licensure in New York State. Preference will be given to candidates who are Board Certified in Pediatrics and have a demonstrated commitment and proficiency in clinical and translational research. Responsibilities include development of research programs, teaching and participation in patient care programs appropriate to a major university. Opportunities and excellent resources for research also exist.


 


This is a faculty academic position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Individuals will be selected on the basis of their training, clinical experience, research potential and their commitment to teaching. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with qualifications. Excellent resources for research and start-up funds are available. The position will be full time, faculty, academic (Assistant or Associate Professor).
