Description
The Division of Neonatology at Stony Brook Children's Hospital and the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University seeks a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to join a vibrant division. Academic rank will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates must be eligible for New York State licensure.
Application:
The successful candidate should possess an MD/DO degree, Board Certification in Pediatrics and be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology. Preference will be given to candidates with research experience, interest in developing a research program in Neonatology and experience with graduate medical education.
Responsibilities include participation in the education of residents, development of research programs, teaching and participation in patient care programs appropriate to a major university. Opportunities and excellent resources for research also exist.
The division supports a well-respected accredited fellowship program.
This is an academic faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Individuals will be selected on the basis of their training, clinical experience, research potential and commitment to teaching. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with qualifications. To qualify for an appointment as Associate Professor the candidate must meet the School of Medicine's criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: MD/DO Degree, Board Certified in Pediatrics, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neonatology, Eligible for Medical Licensure in the State of New York.
Preferred Qualifications: Research experience and interest in developing a research program in Neonatology. Experience with Graduate Medical Education.
