The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the UCLA Mattel Children's Hospital seeks a Physician Scientist faculty member in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases. This is a full-time tenured position, at the rank of associate or full professor rank. The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic individual with excellent research, clinical, teaching, and communication skills. pediatric policies. A track record of impactful research and strong extramural funding is expected. Responsibilities will include research in microbiology or immunology pertaining to the pathophysiology, treatment, or prevention of infectious diseases, engagement in the teaching and clinical missions of the division of infectious diseases, and supervising and mentoring residents and fellows in training in the Department of Pediatrics. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible for certification in Infectious Diseases by the American Board of Pediatrics. The applicant must have a M.D. or equivalent Compensation for the position is competitive.
