Located just outside the heart of downtown Honolulu, we boast Hawaii’s only Level I Trauma Center with over 500 acute and nearly 30 sub-acute care beds. We serve as a major referral center for cancer, heart disease, neuroscience, orthopedics, surgery, emergency medicine and behavioral health, and have the only organ transplantation program in the state. The Queen’s Medical Center has been recognized as the Best Hospital in Honolulu (U.S. News & World Report 2017-2018), Magnet® Recognition (American Nurses Credentialing Center), Comprehensive Stroke Center (The Joint Commission, American Heart Association, American Stroke Association), and MD Anderson Cancer Network affiliation®.

The Queen’s Medical Center – West O’ahu opened on May 20, 2014 to extend the mission of The Queen’s Health Systems to the fastest growing region in Hawaii. Developed in partnership with the West Oahu community, we offer a wide array of primary and specialty care services provided by a dedicated team of health care providers. From outpatient specialties like gastroenterology, wound care, neurology, surgery, cardiology, cancer care and after hours care for children, to preventive screenings like mammograms and colon cancer screenings, we continue to grow with the community and bring more advanced health services closer to home for Central and West Oahu families.

· Level 1 Trauma Center: The Queen’s Medical Center is verified by the American College of Surgeons and designated by the Department of Health as Hawaii’s first and only Level 1 Trauma Center.

Requirements:

· Licensure: Registered Nurse, State of Hawaii

· Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred.

· BLS and ACLS certification

· Completion of Periop 101 course.

· 1 year of OR RN experience in an acute care setting.

· Scrubbing experience desired.

· CNOR preferred.

· OR Neuro Specialty: Minimum of two (2) years of OR RN experience scrubbing and circulating in a Neuro Specialty service line, within the last 5 years.
