Pathways Academy is a year-round, therapeutic, day school developed to meet the social, sensory, psychological, and educational needs of children and adolescents ages 6 through 22 with autism spectrum disorders

The Speech/Language Pathologist Provides comprehensive Speech Therapy Services to students with Autism Spectrum disorders with and without psychiatric disorders, ranging in age from 6 -22. S/he demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate for students with Autism Spectrum disorders and provides annual in-service training on social-pragmatics skills to staff members. The Speech/Language Pathologist works collaboratively to develop social-pragmatics curriculum and teaches social-pragmatics classes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
ASHA certified Speech and Language Therapist or Pathologist
State certification

SKILLS/ ABILITIES/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Experience in providing speech/language services
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills
Strong social pragmatics teaching skills
Education and Experience
Master’s Degree, 1-2 years’ experience preferred
