We
are currently seeking (2) Multi-Modality Sonographers (Echo, Vascular and General) to join our team in Suwanee, GA.

We are currently seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Sonographer to join our team of mobile Ultrasound Professionals. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing cardiovascular ultrasound studies, including echocardiogram, carotid and general ultrasound imaging for physician review. The Sonographer will follow the specific protocols established by Digirad for cardiovascular ultrasound and will provide excellent patient care. As part of a mobile business, the CUT will be responsible for driving to client sites in a company provided vehicle, preparation/ tear down of ultrasound equipment at the customer site, loading/ delivery of cardiovascular ultrasound images daily and comply with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Business Director or the Sonographer is responsible for technical and patient care functions related to cardiovascular and general ultrasound imaging in the mobile and/or fixed site environment.



RESPONSIBILITY/AUTHORITY ASSIGNMENT:

In the absence of the Sonographer, the Business Director is responsible for decisions in this arena.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential function satisfactorily.

Perform cardiovascular ultrasound studies, including echocardiogram and carotid and general ultrasound imaging for physician review. Must follow the specific protocols established by Digirad for cardiovascular ultrasound.

Prepare and tear down mobile operations at customer site, including but not limited to loading/unloading of equipment in/out of van; set up/tear down of equipment at customer site; and disposal of all medical waste.

Drive company van and follow Safety regulations for purpose of transporting equipment, medical supplies, and self to customer site.

Complete daily paperwork at customer site, including photocopying and faxing of customer logs and patient information as necessary.

Complete the loading/delivery of all cardiovascular ultrasound images via the standard delivery method for each location each day.

Comply with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety and environmental standards.

Enhance professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, educational programs, and maintaining of required licenses and certifications.

At all times during the customer lease day, act under the general or the direct supervision of the physician customer, as applicable.

Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Be present at the customer site no later than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to (Competencies):

Experience:

A minimum of one (1) or more years experience, preferably with an emphasis in Cardiovascular Ultrasound in a hospital, private practice or mobile setting.

Training/Certifications:

Demonstrate current competency and skills by documentation of BS, AS degree or certification in cardiovascular ultrasound (either through ARDMS or CCI). Must have at least 1 registry (RDCS and/or RVT), but multiple modalities is preferred. Must have current certification demonstrating successful completion of an American Heart Association BLS/CPR course.

Philips 5500, GE Vivid i, PC – based computer systems, Laser-jet printers, scanners, modem, facsimile machine, computerized voice mail and e-mail systems, and common office machines.

Software Knowledge:

Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), Internet Explorer

Physical Activities:

On a continuous basis, stand for a long period of time, ease in moving about facility including stairs; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking, stooping, turning and lifting up to 40 lbs. will be required. Daily pushing/pulling of medical equipment up to 400 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to communicate with supervisor and customers in order to provide best patient care possible. Subjected to changes in schedule.
