Job Summary: The Assistant Director of Surgical Services collaborates with the Director to provide oversight of all nursing personnel and clinical nursing operations of the Surgical Services suite (Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery units). The ADN assists in the administration of the department by participating in operational decisions, problem follow-up and data collection. The ADN oversees and assists in the resolution of problems that arise in the absence of the Director. Ensures compliance with local, state and federal regulations and regulatory agencies, efficiency of services and delivery of optimal customer service.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree in Nursing, health administration or a related field preferred; excellent verbal / written communication skills, organizational skills and ability to plan and meet deadlines; computer literate; familiarity with data entry; ability to read, write and communicate in English required.; minimum 3 years recent / current experience as Registered Nurse; 5 years clinical supervisory experience; current / valid NYS license as Registered Nurse; Advanced Clinical Life Support (ACLS) certification.
