The Clinical Instructor is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for the clinical rotation experience for assigned Bay State Nursing Students. The Clinical Instructor works closely with the course instructor, skills lab coordinator and clinical facility staff to develop and coordinate appropriate level clinical activities for students. He/She may be asked to participate in Skills Lab activities. The clinical instructor will have a clinical background in the area in which s/he teaches. He/She is supportive of and understands the QSEN framework-Quality and Safety Education for Nurses.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing is minimum with MSN preferred Previous teaching in Nursing preferred-clinical/lecture/lab Minimum of 2 years of recent clinical experience in clinical teaching area Licensed in the state of Massachusetts- current R.N. in good standing Current CPR certification, current immunization status, satisfactory CORI Current clinical experience and skills in the clinical area that will be instructing Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Works effectively in multi system arrangement.
