$77,845 - $94,872 Annually
(+ 15% for Criminal Justice staff)
Tulare County Health & Human Services Agency offers a progressive and innovative working environment for our employees while providing comprehensive Health care in our community. The HHSA is currently recruiting Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants for the provision of medical services to patients within the clinical setting and to inmates and juvenile detainees in the county detention facilities. Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistants are under the supervision of a physician, providing direct and indirect patient care services under written and approved standardized procedures. In the clinical setting, the NP/PA will provide services to patients requiring Internal Medicine, Pediatric, and OB/GYN care. In the county detention facilities, the NP/PA will provide required sick call services and other related work in a corrections setting to adult and children. The NP/PA’s will work in a supportive team environment providing a full range of medical services and specialty referrals to county patients and inmates in the county jail and juvenile system.
Requirements include current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the state of California issued by the Physician Assistant Committee. Nurse Practitioners must have a current license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
