The Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciencesinvites applications for a twelve month faculty position for the Physician Assistant Program. To be considered, candidates must provide evidence of effective teaching methods and productive scholarship in their respective fields. Qualified candidates will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Appropriate terminal degree is required and must be completed prior to the beginning of the fall semester. Ideally, candidates will have experience using course management systems for purposes of instruction and advising.
The successful candidate will coordinate certain clinical rotations according to established standards; prepare student examinations; advise and lecture within the program; provide research guidance to graduate-level students; and will participate on University committees, complete scholarly activities, and provide service to the PA profession. Requirements include: a Master’s of Science degree (doctorate is preferred); current NCCPA certification and a minimum of five years of full-time clinical experience; must have, or be eligible for, PA licensure in Pennsylvania; prior teaching or clinical preceptor experience and research experience are preferred.
